Kristen and Shauna teach classical pilates, a system approach designed to move from a strong center (powerhouse) with control and precision. Getting all of those body parts to cooperate takes a lot of concentration, strengthening the mind-body connection. Most importantly, pilates teaches you to breathe properly, engaging the diaphragm and reducing tension in the neck and shoulders. The pilates system builds strength, power, flexibility, balanced development, coordination and a sense of the body in space.
